Kat Candler (born November 11, 1974 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American independent filmmaker. She graduated in Creative Writing at Florida State University in 1996 and is now based in Austin, Texas. She has credits as a director, writer, producer and editor.

Cicadas are large, common, insects. More often
heard than seen, the males produce a loud
pulsating buzz-like song. Usually found in
southern regions, most cicadas have a 13-17 year
life cycle. As nymphs, they feed off of the roots
of trees. And when ready, they crawl up the
trunk of the tree, molt their skin and fly away.
